- **Solutions Engineer for Alternative Fuels Bunkering M/F** and become part of the Technical Team in charge of the development and follow up of bunkering solutions for the decarbonisation of the maritime industry.
- This position is located in Courbevoie, France.
- You will report to the Head of the HSEQ and Technical Department (N+1), within a dynamic team of 4 other collaborators.
- Your main general objectives will be to:
- Participate in the sustainability of Marine Fuels' activity, its development in LNG bunkering and the evaluation and development of other marine fuels for the de-carbonization of the industry
- Develop projects while ensuring the quality and safety of supply and logistics, at a competitive cost
- Effective reporting to the Head of HSEQ & Technical dpt
- Closely work with HSE team in preventing any major risk that could have a negative impact on the Marine Fuels business
- Represent TotalEnergies Marine Fuels in technical, national or international, organizations
**Mission details**:
- Support the Strategy team:
- in regulatory technical applicability and interpretations
- in reporting the in-field exchanges with customers and industry stakeholders
- in performing high level technical evaluations and technology surveyance
- in participating in industry initiatives for the decarbonisation of the Shipping Industry
- Support the Sales and Business Development team:
- in supporting commercial prospects
- in performing technical monitoring of LNG bunkering opportunities and other new marine fuels
- in performing safety and compatibility studies during validated projects in connection with customers and ports
- in providing technical advice to existing or potential partners.
- Support the Operations team:
- In providing technical advice about ship in service and day to day operations
- In performing technical follow up of incidents
- In preparing the intermediate and class renewal surveys (technical stops)
- Participation in internal and external technical committees related to the activity
- With the other team members:
- Manage the workshop / technical group with the main strategic stakeholders (customer, ship operator, etc.) for the development of approved projects and coordinate with the other technical entities of TotalEnergies involved.
- Provide the technical interface with contractors and third parties involved in the bunkering activity (loading terminals, shipowners, ship managers, trucking companies, etc.)
- Support the commercial and legal department in defining the terms of reference and the wording of different kind of contracts
- Define the technical specifications of a vessel and coordinate aspects related to internal control rules or international regulations (compliance of all our operations)
- Coordinate the regulatory and normative watch concerning the planned activity of the LNG, ammonia, methanol, marine biofuels and other bunkers... and the associated logistics
- Participate in working groups and committees of professional organizations such as SGMF or ISO.
- Responsible for specifications for the design and bunkering operations of new fuels
- Technical advisor to ensure adequate management of customer complaints (in collaboration with the HSEQ manager)
- Carry out a monitoring and technological watch on NEW FUELS and the technical changes they could introduce in the storage and transfer systems of the bunker vessel as well as the propulsion.
- You ensure close coordination with the Group's technical teams: MS, GRP, EP as well as exchanges with clients: shipowners, engineering companies, etc.
- Participate in conferences at the request of management to officially push the TMFGS LNG or other bunker solutions
- HSE
- Increase safety awareness by raising observation cards and Stop card when necessary.
- Communicate about Golden Rules and invite contractors to adhere or to have similar safety rules
- Enforce safety/sustainability moment at meetings with 4 persons or more and ALWAYS with external teams.
- Ensure compliance with Major REX for Maritime, LNG and any other product in the business
- Preferably a Marine Master (Captain) or someone with marine operations experience or Naval Architect with professional experience in
