As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, join our organization as **Equipment & Materials Certification Quality Manager**for our **Head Office.**The position is located within our **La Défense (Courbevoie - 92)**office in **France.**Alternatively, the position could be located in a BV Marine Operation under conditions to travel frequently to our Head Office.
**Role & main responsibilities**
Our Equipment & Materials certification (EMC) Department is in charge of the overall control of operations related to certification of materials, equipment & production facilities in accordance with classification Rules and international regulations. It includes the following responsibilities:
- Functional support to countries (qualification and training of surveyors & auditors, procedures & instructions),
- Coordination and support to countries for the development of services related to materials & equipment manufacturers,
- Review of adequacy of production tools and participate to necessary updates and developments,
- Participation to the development of the classification Rules dedicated to certification of materials and equipment.
The job incumbent will play a key role in controlling and developing our certification activities, in line with international maritime regulations:
- Validate the qualifications of our surveyors and auditors
- Oversee the personnel qualification system
- Maintain and evolve the certification rules
- Coordinate the certification procedures and instructions
- Ensure the monitoring and analysis of operations
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits
Frequent international travels will be required to perform the duties.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor degree in Marine/Mechanical engineering, Naval architecture or an equivalent level of qualification based on ‘in the field’ activities and experience.
Field classification surveyor with equipment & materials certification.
Good organisation skills, pragmatism and a problem solving mentality.
Able to work both independently and as a valued member and contributor within the EMC team.
Good Communication Skills.
Full proficiency in English.
