**Application/Cloud Architect - Strasbourg - EU Public Organisations**

**Job description**
- Analysis/design of the integration of different information systems/components/services.
- Analysis of the system’s technical security.
- Data analysis and data modelling.
- Implementation of the defined technical architecture.
- Production of technical documents.
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
- Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.
- Creating designs and blueprints of on-premise / cloud Architecture.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate them to new environment.
- Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using on premise/cloud components.
- Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.
- Design an architecture model compatible with the business/ technical specifications using the most suitable cloud-ready architecture patterns.
- Propose a cloud-ready solution stack compatible with the business/ technical specifications.
- Develop the supporting services needed for the coordination and interoperability of the business components/services e.g. Kafka, API gateways, ESB etc.
- Abstract business services to make them re-usable by the different departments.
- Coordinate with the development teams and the architects from different Commission departments/external provider companies.
- Collaborate with the DIGIT Business Analyst and the analysts from different Commission departments/external provider companies.
- Document and explain your decisions at different levels (e.g. business managers, technical teams etc).

**Standard requirements**
- A bachelor’s degree of 3 years.
- Very good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns.
- Very good knowledge of microservices and architecture on-premise / cloud.
- Very good knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture).
- Good knowledge of applied security.
- Good knowledge of modelling tools.
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture.
- Good knowledge of DBMS.
- Good knowledge of business process analysis.
- Ability to give technical presentations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to write technical documents.
- Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills
