**The role**:
The **Planning Engineer** is to ensure **customer needs are properly integrated into the ERP**, while verifying that available resources (**materials and labor**) are aligned with **delivery lead times**.

This person is the **main point of contact** for setting and communicating **forecasted and confirmed demands** within the ERP.

**How to make an impact**:

- Collect and analyse **sales forecasts** from the Commercial department.
- Ensure forecasts are compatible with available resources (materials, labor), get validation, and communicate effectively.
- Develop work methods to translate forecasts into **S&OP plans** and **Master Production Schedules (MPS)** in the ERP.
- Improve existing processes toward full **S&OP integration** (MBR, S&OP, MPS meetings).
- Lead and participate in **project follow-ups** within your scope (kick-off, progress meetings).
- Monitor and update **forecasted BOMs** based on product evolution.
- Coordinate **technical changes** and alert on stock impact.
- Maintain **ERP item settings** (safety stock, batch sizes, MOQ, lead times, frequencies, planning horizons, etc.).
- Keep firm and forecasted demands updated in the ERP to **avoid shortages** while limiting inventory.
- Maintain an **opportunity and confirmed orders tracker**.
- Track the conversion of forecasts into **firm orders**.
- Schedule customer orders based on **availability analysis** and communicate lead times to the Sales Administration team.
- Plan **manufacturing orders (MOs)** and hand off follow-up to the Scheduling department.
- Oversee customer order fulfillment in coordination with related departments (Scheduling, Production, Quality, Logistics, Procurement).
- Raise alerts and propose **recovery plans** in case of delays.
- Track and report **KPIs** for customer orders.
- Analyze actuals vs. forecasts and suggest **improvement actions** to reduce deviations.
- Propose and implement **continuous improvement initiatives** for forecasting and planning tools and methods (specs, implementation, etc.).

**Your background**:

- Education**:Master's degree (Bac +4/5)** in **Production Management or Supply Chain**, with a focus on **Planning/Scheduling**.
- Experience: Minimum **8 years** in **industrial planning or production/scheduling management**.
- ** Professional English** proficiency.
- ** APICS certification** is a plus.

**Technical Skills**:

- Mastery of **MRP II** and **Manufacturing ERP** concepts.
- Deep knowledge of **ERP systems** and **supply chain processes**.
- Proficiency in **Excel** and statistical data analysis.
- Familiar with **Lean management** methods and **workshop scheduling**.
