- Job Purpose
- Leads all cost control activities within a project, operational role
- Develops, updates and maintains project budget and forecasting
- Highlights areas of concerns and solutions to help achieve a successful and timely completion of Projects
- Job Description
- Management of the project cost control team
- Support to Finance on hedging of foreign exchange rates risks
- Contribute to lessons learned through the project
- Supports the set up and maintenance of the project revenues and costs measurement systems and reporting data
- Estimates Total Forecasts, Quantity / Costs and Expected Outcomes - Approves commitment control and vendor/subcontractors invoice
- Highlights areas of concerns and solutions to the Project Managers to optimize and improve completion of projects, and budgets
- Prepares change orders / claims, and follows up
- Generates monthly internal Project Management Review (PMR) / external status reports (client reports)
- Develops statistical and close-out reports, with a view towards improving feedback data and estimation tools on future contracts / proposals
- Complies with and implements both company and client HSE Management System objectives and procedures, as well as Quality standards and policies, and other applicable company procedures
- You are meant for this job if:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 6 to 8 years of experience as a Cost Control Engineer or in other Project Control discipline
- Professional English
- Knowledge of cost control tools and methodologies
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Establish good relationship and cooperation with colleagues in the project team
