**About the role**

This role is at the core of WeTransfer’s growth. Your drive will fuel cross-functional projects and the development of new features that increase the reach of our core Transfer product. You’ll be engaged in improving upon our existing architecture. You’ll be building strong relationships with your teammates, manager, your team’s relevant stakeholders, and senior engineers across the organization.

What you'll be able to impact*
- You’ll lead significant technology initiatives from start to finish, across multiple layers of the architecture.
- You’ll drive the design and implementation of durable software solutions that will solve critical customer problems while making sure they are scalable, secure, easy to maintain, and able to interact with other systems.
- You’ll consider team practices and processes and regularly discuss them with the team. You’ll also be involved in work on organizational engineering strategy.
- You’ll act as a role model and coach for your software engineering team while demonstrating technical leadership.
- You’ll inspire innovations to fuel our growth and generate creative ideas for emerging business needs.

**What we are looking for**
- You have extensive experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development and are aware of the constraints that apply.
- Your knowledge of design patterns is solid.
- You are well versed in different types of test automation.
- You are familiar with open-source UI frameworks.
- Established experience with TypeScript and React. Significant experience with JavaScript, Angular, or Vue is acceptable with the ability to learn TypeScript and React.
- You have experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL database interfaces.
- You are comfortable interacting with SQL and NoSQL databases.
