Software Engineer

**What you'll do**:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Globalization Engineering team. The team is responsible for enabling all engineering teams within DocuSign to localize for different languages and cultures.

In this role you can have a direct impact on how DocuSign products are accepted throughout the world. You will need a passion for language and culture that pushes you to desire world-wide user satisfaction.

This position is an individual contributor and reports to the Sr. Manager of Globalization Engineering.

**Responsibility**
- Work as part of a small development team to invent tools and processes used by other specialists within DocuSign
- Implement services and user interfaces that can be deployed across several complex projects
- Focus on solutions for the consistent internationalization of user interfaces and APIs
- Localize operations for various types of technologies and information systems
- Find services and tools for localization experts and product managers to manage localization processes
- Identify risks to translations due to engineering shortcuts and language asymmetry

**Job Designation**:
**Hybrid**:
Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

**What you bring**:
**Basic**
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years industry experience in Software Engineering
- Experience with C# and JavaScript (NodeJS & React)
- Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing

**Preferred**
- Passion for linguistic, cultural, and jurisdictional issues in software development
- Proficient in at least one language in addition to English
- Proficient in programming and writing reliable tests
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience gathering and verifying technical requirements with the goal of authoring user documentation
- Able to debug pipeline issues in the CI/CD chain and analyzing system logs
