Esg Index Product Manager

Moody’s ESG Solutions is hiring an ESG Index Product Manager. You will be part of a highly motivated index product team that sits within our core ESG Product team. You will focus on the governance, construction and support of our growing ESG index solutions. You will work closely with sales to support, develop and maintain client relationships driving towards the overall commercial objectives of our ESG business. Our index product team also plays a crucial role in the overall development and integrity of Moody’s ESG content. In this role you will contribute to the articulation and delivery of a forward-looking, multi-asset class, content roadmap - ensuring best-in-class data quality and a content-product-market fit.

As an Index Product manager, you will possess a unique combination of technical skills and business acumen, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will use these skills to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive solutions to our clients. Regarding domain expertise, it is preferred that you have at least five years of experience working with ESG and climate related data sets for the financial markets. Experience working with or at an index provider is preferred but not required. You will have knowledge of the evolving ESG data landscape and how this data is being integrated into traditional financial products. You will be comfortable working with large data sets and have a talent for extracting meaningful intelligence to drive innovation and product direction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support existing ESG index client relationships and regular reporting requirements
- Develop new ESG strategies based on client needs and assist with the new index product launch process, ensuring smooth and timely client deliveries.
- Contribute to the industrialisation of index deliveries (rebalancing, updates, reporting)
- Support the sales team to build effective/accurate responses to RFPs and RFIs
- Conduct continual market analysis on the ESG index, ETF, labels, regulatory and ESG data landscapes. Capture evolutions to ensure future-fit of our solutions and approach.
- Perform quality reviews on our data and content deliveries ensuring that our end deliveries meet client expectations and needs.
- Build Excel based prototypes for data aggregation and modelling approaches, proving a fit for client needs and translating this to downstream technology teams for automation and implementation.
- Develop a content roadmap based on market needs, obtain business buy-in for roadmap and strategy and oversee successful execution.

LI-LR1
- Bachelor’s degree required and graduate/second level degree (Masters or MBA) preferred
- 5+ Years in Product Management or development related roles for client facing financial products
- Experience with product ownership and driving a product vision, strategy and roadmap including creating and owning product development backlog
- Experience building excel-based models incorporating VBA, Macros, add-ins etc to enhance user experience.
- Experience working at or with an index provider preferred.
- Team oriented approach with the ability to build consensus and relationships across various groups within Moody’s.
- Ability to think outside the box, analyze complex data sets and interpret business requirements to generate creative solutions.
- French and English language skills required
