**Job Description**:
**(1) Trade Compliance**
- Assess timely and accurately branch personnel on Trade Compliance areas by conducting the monthly assessments (GATES, DG, Conditional approval review).
- Monitor on a regular basis compliance reports and report any anomalies according to escalation procedure (anti-boycott, RSR Checklist, TC Workboard, GCI Denied part status, ITAR).
- Review with operational staff, Department Managers and all key District personnel, audit results and other findings.
- Assist with implementing any remediation plan for corrective action to resolve instances of non-compliance that are identified with the aim of mitigating the risks.
- Lead and ensure progress on corrective and preventative actions within your district
- Monitor performance standards and District Excellence and promote behaviors and processes to close the performance gap within the district.
- Be consistent and accurate in your communication so that any message is easy to understand and solutions-oriented.
- Always maintain a collaborative working relationship and positive environment by supporting the District and answering any questions that arise.
- Actively participate in the continued training of employees to help them develop awareness and maintain aptitude in Trade Compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay informed of current and proposed laws, regulations, directives, rules, and policies governing Trade Compliance at Expeditors and regarding the industry in general.
- Maintain knowledge about key Expeditors’ systems, including (but not limited to) GCI, CFIT, EDMS, ETMS and EDPS and how those systems support the Company’s ongoing Trade Compliance goals and objective.
- Drive full and proper usage of existing systems and tools by operations.
**(2) ISO14001**
- Be knowledgeable and stay abreast of changes in local laws and regulations and keep the District up to date.
- Review (at least yearly) the Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensure its scope, environmental aspects, risks, and opportunities are relevant.
- Conduct an annual internal audit to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and operations standards.
- Lead the quarterly Management Review meeting to discuss environmental-related issues, concerns, improvement plan and best practices.
- Own - _and report on _- all environmental related communication (both internal and external) with the interested parties.
- Deliver trainings as required/requested.
- Promote the development of an environmental conscious culture at the District.
**(3) Aviation Security**
- Ensure regulatory monitoring and adjust the operational procedures as deemed necessary to meet our compliance obligations
- Lead and implement the Aviation Security program effectively with KEY personnel in the District.
- Conduct and coordinate audits (both internal & external) on a regular basis to detect and assess the risks.
- Implement corrective actions and follow up on the resolution.
- Work proactively by identifying preventive actions as a room for continuous improvements.
- Deliver trainings as required/requested.
**Qualifications**:
- Understanding of Expeditors’ Trade Compliance Policies and Procedures (required trainings completed)
- Understanding of ISO14001 standards
- Understanding of Aviation Security standards
- Understanding of Operational Process Standards Procedures
A minimum of three (3) years in the Company is preferred
- Proficiency in English
- Expeditors Product and Service knowledge
- Dangerous Goods certification(s)
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Power BI, preferred)
- Comfortable with Expeditors’ core operating systems (Exp.o GCI, EDPS, CFIT, ETMS, and EDMS)
- Effective interpersonal skills, with ability to relate to employees at all levels
- Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively
- Strong Expeditors cultural attributes (Attention to detail, Attitude and Commitment, Excellence, Curiosity, Integrity)
Additional Information
Must be eligible to work in EU.
Can be based in our Lyon, Bordeaux or Toulouse offices.
