**The role**
We are looking for a Commercial Engineer to join our dynamic Sales and Business Development team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a successful and growing renewables business. With primary responsibility for supporting the growth of sales opportunities to expand the number of assets and activities within the WPO portfolio. Additionally, this role assists in the coordination of external client marketing and communication activity.
**The person**
The role is split into three main parts:
1. Business Development
To support the achievement of sales objectives, by identifying technical and business opportunities. To increase the content and quality of WPO's service offering. Support the technical and commercial development of the company's offer in order to ensure that new opportunities have been identified and seized. Identify opportunities to increase social activities with prospects and existing customers.
2. Preparation of sales proposals and deal generation processes
The Sales Executive will collaborate with the sales and technical teams to prepare proposals in line with client expectations and specifications. The calculation of the cost of services and follow-up on and tracking of proposal progress will also be key responsibilities. The Sales Executive will be involved in the design and delivery of sales presentations over time.
Additionally, you will actively be involved in generating revenue by identifying sales opportunities and providing proactive sales delivery.
3. Marketing and Communications Responsibility for assisting in the development of company brochures and the improvement of marketing tools, organisation and coordination of business events. Additionally carry out sector, competition and commercial monitoring to ensure that WPO remains competitive and aware of industry activity. This role may be involved in other Sales and Business Development tasks as required.
**Required Skills**:
- Degree in either engineering, business or law-related discipline
- Interest in renewable energy
- Interest in marketing and sales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Additional European language ability, proficiency in French is preferred
- Potential for basic grasp of engineering and technical concepts
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with clients
