**Position**: Head of Indirect Procurement EMEA
**Based**: Avignon, FR/Haddenham, UK
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting to the Procurement Director EMEA
Drive a transformation in the Indirects procurement agenda, to achieve best in class value delivery.
Managing a ~$180m spend across multiple countries and across a broad range of spend areas (e.g logistics, factory services, marketing, professional and HR services, IT, capex). High level of complexity and business impact
Managing a buying team of c 7 FTEs (UK, France, Poland, Italy), plus close collaboration with global and regional colleagues
Building relationships and partner key divisions and stakeholders to ascertain and understand stakeholder and business requirements, strategy, challenges and opportunities.
Developing and enforcing policies and procedures that add value within their unique business culture
Optimising procurement within a culture that is entrepreneurial, quick to move and customer focussed and where aligning to the company values is important (‘not just what you do but how you do it’).
Being part of the Procurement leadership team for the region, with focus on creating and driving best in class Procurement
Reporting to the Procurement Director EMEA
CANDIDATE PROFILE
**Experience**:
Managed a wide range of indirect areas of spend either regionally or globally. (e.g. Marketing, logistics, factory services, professional services, Capex & POS)
Proven ability to drive significant business change in a challenging, fast-paced, truly international business environment
Team management experience. Ideally experienced managing across a matrixed environment with multiple reports spread across EMEA.
Excellent commercial instincts & business knowledge. Experience of working with different cultures and working in global markets will be advantageous
Experience in the Manufacturing/FMCG sector will be advantageous, however all backgrounds will be considered
Worked in a multi-national & multi-cultural environment
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent. Articulate and a good communicator/influencer
Experience of developing best practice sourcing, governance, procedures and policies which protect the business from risk even within this fast-changing environment
**Skills**:
Excellent influencing & stakeholder management skills. Able to engage successfully from Board level to Operations equally effectively
Procurement technical skills including excellent category strategy development, negotiation skills, contract drafting, financial acumen, Procure to Pay.
Demonstrate change Leadership capability, even when faced with significant challenges.
Drive to achieve extraordinary results, for self, team and the business
The ability to manage any area of spend successfully across multiple product and service areas. Process aware but will have a pragmatic approach when meeting challenging timescales/commercials.
**Excellent line management**: set & manage to be challenging team goals, coach effectively, managing & driving performance, support personal growth
Able to contribute to the wider Procurement & business leadership agenda, as a member of the EMEA Procurement Leadership Team
Excellent organisational and project management skills. Having an eye for detail yet can see the big picture.
High learning agility and committed to personal growth & learning.
**Language skills**: English essential. French desirable, Polish + Italian nice-to-have
Potential successor to Procurement Director EMEA or to other senior global/ regional Procurement roles, within 2-3 years
