Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Automation and Management- Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of platforms.
- Cloud-Native Strategy Implementation- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions using platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Private Cloud.
- Optimize the use of cloud services to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and secure environments for development and production.
- Migrate and modernize legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
- Security Integration- Implement security best practices within the DevOps lifecycle, including vulnerability management, infrastructure hardening, and network security.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- System and Application Optimization- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure systems are operating optimally and securely.
- Regularly review and refine system configurations to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing- Document processes, configurations, and best practices, and share knowledge across teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in Dev(Sec)Ops best practices and cloud-native development.
- Soft Skills:
- Collaboration and Communication- Actively participate in cross-functional meetings, clearly articulate technical issues, and provide updates on project progress.
- Listen to the needs of different teams and mediate solutions that balance security, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability- Quickly adapt, think critically, and find innovative solutions to unexpected challenges, such as system outages or security vulnerabilities.
- Remain calm under pressure, analyse situations promptly, and implement fixes to maintain system integrity and performance.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience in DevOps or Dev(Sec)Ops roles.
- Hands-on experience with public or private cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Solid understanding of security best practices in the DevOps lifecycle.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
