Procedures and Training Engineer

Created in 2009, **ESSP**is a young and dynamic company, a **pan European service provider**, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide **Communication, Navigation and Surveillance**(CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the **EGNOS service** (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

In ESSP we are looking for a **Procedures and Training Engineer**who will be in charge of producing operational and maintenance procedures of the EGNOS System as well as training materials for operators and maintainers of the system. For these activities, we are looking for someone with an **engineering degree or equivalent**, **0-2 years’ experience in space or aeronautical sector** and with a **high level of English (C1-C2) - CEFR.**

**Your main responsibilities/activities will be**:
**Production of operations and maintenance procedures**:
Participate to the documentation management process for EGNOS operations:

- Part of industrial documentation reviews of the various EGNOS versions,
- Creation, modification or improvement of operations and maintenance procedures,
- Request of EASA authorization, as regulation authority, for the entry into service,
- Configuration management of the operational documentation, and delivery to the operators and maintainers,
- Follow-up of the « Observation Reports » (OR) raised by the operators and maintainers,
- Writing of the « Temporary Operational Instruction » as workarounds of some system malfunctions,
- Validation of operations and maintenance procedures to ensure their operability.

**Production of operational training materials**:

- Creation of training material,
- Monitoring and validation of the supplier in charge of the production of online training modules,
- Administration of the online training tool (Learning Management System),
- Follow-up of the development and maintenance in operational condition of the training simulator

**Team support**:
As a member of the operations coordination team, you are expected to participate in a more or less significant way, and/or to ensure the back-up of certain operational tasks for which your colleagues are responsible for, notably the **coordination and monitoring of different training phases, production of procedures and operation qualification activities**.

**Contribution to projects and developments**:

- You can be asked to participate to asnwers to calls for tenders related to operations;
- Participation in the implementation of procedures or training processes for future systems operated by the ESSP, or production of training for other ESSP projects outside the EGNOS scope;
- The participation, if needed, to communication actions around the team's activity.

**PROFILE**:
**Generic Skills**:

- High level of English (C1-C2) - CEFR
- Ability to work in a team
- Shows autonomy and initiative
- Ability to synthetize, global vision of a system and its constraints
- Understanding of projects in an international (European) context
- Knowledge of SBAS systems, and EGNOS operations in particular, would be appreciated
- Past experience in an operational context would be appreciated, in particular involving operational procedures production.
- Past experience with a Learning Management System would be appreciated.
- Skills in operating Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Available for punctual travels mainly in Europe
- Subject to exceptional constraints of minimum presence during normal vacation periods (July/August, Christmas, February, Easter).
