QA & Test Manager

We are seeking a talented and passionate QA Test Manager for a permanent position (CDI).

**Responsibilities**:
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the overall testing strategy, balancing manual, automation, performance, and exploratory testing.
- Build and lead a high-performing QA team — recruit, mentor, and coach team members.
- Establish and track quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, release readiness) to drive continuous improvement.
- Advocate for a quality-first culture across all teams.

Process & Governance
- Design and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and DevOps to integrate QA seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and agile workflows.
- Contribute to go/no-go release decisions through structured risk assessments and release testing strategies.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for major quality issues.

Execution & Collaboration
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and automated test suites (UI, API, integration).
- Partner with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure early defect detection (shift-left testing).
- Support cross-team initiatives, ensuring testing efforts are coordinated and effective for complex, multi-component systems.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering leadership to ensure systems are testable, reliable, and performant.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on emerging QA tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, BDD, performance testing).
- Champion test automation strategies, ensuring scalable and maintainable automation coverage.
- Drive initiatives to optimize test environments and improve testing speed, reliability, and feedback loops.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in software testing or QA.
- Proven experience defining and executing QA strategies for complex, distributed systems (web, mobile, backend).
- Strong understanding of modern testing methodologies (functional, regression, exploratory, risk-based testing).
- Minimum 5 years of experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar with a preference for Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, SQL).
- Strong communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and bug tracking systems.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent experience.

**Appreciated skills**:

- Experience with performance, load, and security testing (e.g., JMeter, k6, OWASP tools).
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices and tools like Cucumber or Gherkin.
- Background in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or test environment management.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards and tools

Remuneration according to profile. Work permit in France is mandatory. Working remotely from anywhere in France is possible but hybrid is preferred.
