**Mission**
The Risk Officer will handle all risk related tasks in relation to Varenne Capital Partners’ UCITS and AIFMD funds to ensure compliance with the regulatory and internal guidelines. To this purpose she/he will identify, monitor, and report on an ongoing basis all risks related to Investments. In addition, she/he will identify, report, and implement areas for improvement; and will assist in project related tasks and special requests. As part of the team, your tasks will be varied and will include:
- Act as a relay to the Head of Risk on risk related matters.
- Monitor the funds’ risk in line with regulatory and internal requirements
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of risk controls
- Ensure adequate reporting to senior management, internal / external auditors, and local regulator.
- Provide timely risk information to senior leadership
- Maintain industry awareness, best practice insight and regulatory knowledge
- Review and challenge risk controls.
**Requirements**:
- Any experience in a risk related function
- A good knowledge of applicable UCITS & AIFMD regulation from ESMA and local NCAs
- Strong analytical skills and judgement.
- Knowledge of any programming language (C++, Java, Python) / risk software
- Willingness to learn at a fast pace and always go the extra mile
- Fluency in English is required.
