CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.
CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.
**THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As a Technical Expert Electricity & Auxiliary Equipments, you shall:
Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies
Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis
Provide expertise support for the electrical and auxiliary equipment to the fleet management and ships
Propose solutions to optimize vessels’ maintenance, design and operation
Ensure technical communication outside CMA CGM to promote the technical skills of the CMA CGM group.
**Note**: You may represent the Company in various meetings, conferences, public institutions, etc... Closely work with R&D department of our suppliers for improvement;
Accumulate and share the experience across the fleets
Prepare information and feedbacks to the fleets
Know the supplier network and establish a good relation between societies
Establish medium and long term strategy.
**PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
Minimum qualifications
Expert knowledge in Electrical and Auxiliary equipments required (boilers, purifiers, A/C, provision plant, air compressors, scrubbers, ballast water treatment systems, steering gears, cargo cranes, mooring equipment, etc...)
Fluent in English
Master’s degree in engineering
Management or Project management skills
Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc...
Experience
3 to 5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer with knowledge in electricity, including high voltage and automation, and all auxiliary equipments on board.

Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
