Data Quality Engineer Emea

The data team has grown from 1 Business Intelligence Analyst to 4 members in the past year. The team's vision, mission, and scope have expanded from on-demand reporting to high-scale data management platform engineering. The resulting systems will be the cornerstone of pushing Flowdesk activity to the next level.

It will enable the development of in-house data products and improve the performances of both tech and trading daily operations.

To answer that need, we are seeking a **Data Engineer - Quality Processes Specialist** to lead the development and implementation of robust data quality frameworks. In this role, you will focus on designing, automating, and maintaining processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data pipelines and systems.

Your expertise will help us build confidence in our data and enhance its value across the organization.

**Your mission will be to**
- Design and implement data validation frameworks to monitor the quality of data across pipelines and systems.
- Develop and enforce data quality standards, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry benchmarks.
- Create automated checks and alerts to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data workflows and ensure seamless integration of quality checks.
- Analyse and enhance existing data pipelines to improve performance and reduce latency.
- Automate repetitive tasks to increase the efficiency of data quality processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify data quality requirements and align processes with business needs.
- Provide stakeholders with visibility into data quality metrics through clear and actionable reporting.
- Establish and maintain a data quality governance framework, including policies and best practices.
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring data quality processes align with regulatory requirements.

**Requirements**:
**Background and experience**
- Fluency in English.
- Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data quality processes and frameworks.
- Proficiency in working with data pipelines and ETL tools (preferably Dagster).
- Experience with SQL, DBT, Kubernetes, and familiarity with big data technologies.
- Knowledge of data quality tools and frameworks, such as Great Expectations or similar.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and lineage tracking.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
