Automation Engineer

Sidel is looking for an Automation Engineer for conveyor machines, that will report to the Automation manager in Reichstett/Parma

**Your Mission**:
Sidel is looking for an Automation Engineer for conveyor machines, that will report to the Automation manager in Reichstett/Parma.

Your missions will be:

- Software development support on:
o equipment

o test bench

o new development validation
- Manage the development of automation software (PLC standard and safety) until field test and customer support when requested.
- Respect Guidelines & Rules in software development
- Work with a strong relationship with hardware team and HMI team
- Perfect understanding of electrical design, and HMI design.
- Participate to functional analysis, FMEA
- Procure all software technical documents linked to the project
- Test all the software following the method defined
- To support Supply department (internal testing in Portugal and simulation test benches in Reichstett)

**Your Profile**:
**Education**:
Technical background in Automation.

**Skills**:
Experience with Siemens and Rockwell platforms is required; knowledge of Schneider and/or B&R is a plus.

The role requires the ability to work independently, with a rigorous, dynamic, and organized approach. A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

The position involves travel of up to 20%, including visits to Sidel sites, suppliers, and customer locations.

Knowledge of conveyor and cap feeder equipment is highly valued. Familiarity with SAP, GitHub, and Lean methodology would be an advantage.

**Languages**:
Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required. Knowledge of Italian and/or Portuguese would be a plus.
