We are currently seeking our Head of Operations for our site production operations of BioElpida, based in the area of Lyon.

**_ Founded in 2009, Bio Elpida (now part of Sartorius) is a pharmaceutical outsourcing company specializing in the development and manufacture of innovative cell therapies._**

In this role, you are responsible for overall site production operations, (Production - Supply Chain - Facilities - HSE) by creating a work environment which promotes safety, quality, delivery, cost effective and continuous improvement. The holder of this position will oversee and be accountable for all aspects of the site's operations performance.

**Grow with us - Your Responsibilities**
- Coordinate directly, and through delegation, activities required to assure safety, quality, delivery and cost meet specified targets
- Assure the compliance of behaviour based safety initiatives and continuously improve safety performance
- Execute on quality control plans for compliance to standards and drive variation reduction within the process
- Drive on-time delivery performance and develop actions to improve and sustain a high level of performance
- Optimize cost by effective management of labour, overtime and other expenditures
- Review and analyse production, quality and delivery reports to determine root causes of variance from budget and standards, and develop corrective actions
- Manage, coach and mentor team members to assure their ongoing development
- Evaluate new trends and developments in methods, techniques, equipment, tools, materials and supplies, which might be incorporated into the production, quality or supply chain processes, to increase efficiency or better use of resources
- Participate in special projects and as a member of the operations network
- Foster excellent working relationships with customer (audits) and with all the other stakeholders of the company

**What will convince us**
- Academic degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business or equivalent extensive proven experience of team leadership
- Extensive experience in Operations, including continuous improvement in a **Pharmaceutical / GMP environment**
- Effective ERP skills
- Proven and effective leadership and management skills
- Fluent in English and French
