Head of Machine Learning Engineering

You will lead the delivery of data science project and contribute to the lead of the Data Science Chapter by ensuring core DS team learning, usage of tools and processes to reach the business goals.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Central point of contact for technical support of data science projects in L&H
- Management of Core Data Scientists (technical referral, training of core DS, knowledge sharing with the Data Analytics Community)
- Drive discussions at all level of organization to ensure critical business objectives are delivered within the projects DAS support
- Participate to key decision in term of resource priorisation and Chapter mandates:

- Identify skills within the core DS team to develop and promote
- Define requirements and ensure business can deliver MVP with state-of-the art standards and tools by collaborating with IT
- Set up and lead appropriate governance
- Support delivery of data projects prioritized by DAS including data use cases end-to-end project management
- Anticipate strategic R&D
- Drive the data culture across organization and good operation of the Data Science structure
- Federate Data Analytics Community and ensure the synergies with the DAS business interface.
- Being aware of data innovations and help in anticipating market changes related to model/data usage

**Required experience & competencies**

**Technical Skills**
- At least 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge on cloud usage (K8s is required)
- Produces work that is easily reproducible and industrializable
- Advanced industrialization knowledge (including cloud basics)
- capacity to architecture a Data Solutions embedding models
- Can conduct the delivery of the project and its full documentation (reports, slides for clients, management, peers or conferences)
- Develop and promote coding best practices across the community
- Capable of creating architecture for a Python library
- Employs advance model validation capacity (including a deep analysis of model results and limiting bias)

**Management & soft skills**
- Can play the role of technical lead or product owner on highly technical projects (prioritize squad efforts, ensure delivery of a project, etc)
- Can perform a code peer review and advise/coach on enhancement
- Supports other data scientists and transfers knowledge on modelling topics
- Can identify and lead the skills development of ML engineering in line

**Business Acumen**
- Can interact effectively with DAS leaders and other technical interface
- Can support in producing client-facing presentations or material on ML Engineering challenges
