**About the role**

AGSE Global Services is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join its growing team in France, at our newly established workshop located in Paris. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and quality control of aerospace tooling and ground support equipment. Under the supervision of the Workshop Manager, you will ensure all operations are performed in accordance with technical standards, safety regulations, and company procedures to support our clients across the region. This is a varied role; work will mainly be mechanical but there will be elements of hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical aspects to consider.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Load and unload tools or equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect incoming equipment and verify its condition and functionality in accordance with technical documentation (e.g. drawings, manuals, specifications).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per established procedures and technical documentation (e.g. load tests, functional tests, repairs).
- Accurately complete maintenance and repair tasks while adhering to company quality standards and safety protocols.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the Workshop Manager and assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems using a methodical and analytical approach.
- Carry out on-site interventions (inspection, repair, maintenance) when required, under the direction of the Workshop Manager.
- Conduct final quality checks before shipping to ensure all tasks have been completed to specification.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are clean, secure, and properly packaged before shipping to the customer.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the workshop.
- Fill out job reports, maintenance records, and any documentation required with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitor the availability of spare parts in stock and alert the manager when replenishment is needed.
- Actively contributes to quality improvement and customer satisfaction by performing all tasks with accuracy, care, and professionalism.

**Essential Skills**
- Full, clean driving license. Travel between sites as required.
- Must be fluent in English (any additional languages would be beneficial, although not essential); ability to read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions in English; and a clear understanding of simple math is essential.
- Ability to gain airport pass if deemed necessary by management, therefore no criminal record.
- Licence professionnelle or a Diplome Universitaire de Tecnologie (DUT) in the industrial mechanics field or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industry performing mechanical assembly, maintenance, or tooling repair. Experience in the aerospace sector is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a clear focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English (spoken and written) and the ability to read technical documentation and write clear reports.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable mindset.
- High regard for safety regulations and adherence to procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ERP.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
- Forklift license is desirable.
