RESPONSIBILITIES As PRINCIPAL R&D PACKAGING SPECIALIST, you are responsible for: Participating beautiful packaging developments while preserving our planet’s resources, you will collaborate in the development of a portfolio of several projects varying from simple to very complex on a range of leading brands, this will involve designing, developing, and implementing solutions for primary and secondary packaging, from the upstream phase, design in partnership with Project Manager / Marketing, including creating visuals / renderings / videos. You will leverage your strong technical experience to support Intiatives on new packaging conception / development, from design intent to in-market delivery by generating technical 2D/3D, renderings, videos. You will actively look to build strong organisational capabilities, contributing to the strengths of the Global Coty Packaging Development team. **Your main focus**: Collaborating / supporting R&D Packaging Team as a packaging specialist in the design process of our make-up, skin care and perfume products. Supporting R&D Packaging Team on best way to achieve desired design by generating new packaging conceptions technically and financially viable (2D/3D/assembling, dimensional tolerances to stack-up) Supporting R&D Packaging Team to communicate with MKT/FH by creating visuals / renderings / videos based on 3D files generated as part of your main activity. Manage (including team's training) internal 3D printing capabilities dedicated to the printing by the R&D packaging team, of "white Mockups" dedicated the MKT. As an experienced R&D Packaging Specialist, you are willing to work in an agile, entrepreneurial and hands-on type environment, you have the ability to travel when required and to adapt to change and to work in a culturally diverse organization. Other than that, you: Have strong experience working in the technical packaging role, ideally in the Beauty industry or cosmetics/pharmaceutical/personal care industry, minimum 10 years. Have a proven track record of leading new packaging conception / development, from design intent to in-market delivery. Have proven experience in creating visuals / renderings / videos based on 3D files generated as part of your main activity by using Solidworks, Visualize, Blender, Keyshot, Photoshop & Illustrator. Have problem-solving skills. Ability to identify smart solutions with the right level of pragmatism. Awareness of cosmetics packaging regulations. Have the ability to evaluate technical drawings for accuracy, design intent and fit for use. Must be able to demonstrate competency in handling the interpretations of blueprints and understand the dimensional tolerances to stack-up various component types. Have a continuous improvement through standardization mindset Have very strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills for verbal and written communication of ideas, technical rationales, risks, issues, and recommendations. Have a master’s degree in sciences (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Packaging, or other relevant discipline).
