Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).
We are looking for a **Chief Security Officer (CSO)** who will be in charge of leading the definition and implementation of ESSP security policies, technologies and controls to protect the Company and Customers’ assets from internal and external threats.
The CSO ensures compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, in particular EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) Regulations for the service provision of CNS Services (Communication, Navigation, Surveillance), like EGNOS and Iris.
**The Chief Security Officer is responsible for**:
- Contributing to the fulfilment of Compliance Management Unit missions in the area of security,
- Identifying and monitoring security needs, vulnerabilities and risks and proposing mitigation strategies,
- Promoting a security culture within the company,
- Providing technical expertise to ESSP Units and business development activities,
- Managing the Security team (people, budget, contracts).
**Her/his area of responsibility includes the security of information and information systems, the security of goods and facilities.**
**Your main responsibilities/activities will be**:
- Propose strategic security orientations and objectives for the Company,
- Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry trends,
- Ensure security activities fulfil ESSP objectives,
- Define and enforce ESSP security policies on behalf of the Company,
- Manage the ESSP Information Security Management System (ISMS) in compliance with applicable contractual and regulatory requirements,
- Ensure the proper identification and the management of security risks and their mitigation at acceptable levels, in accordance with the ESSP risk management process,
- Ensure the compliance of ESSP activities with contractual and regulatory requirements, notably with those linked to EGNOS and Iris contracts and to EASA Regulation requirements for EGNOS service provision and Iris services,
- Deliver security activities as per contractual requirements: security assurance, security risk analyses, security reviews, security assessments, security surveys or audits, etc.,
- Monitor threats, vulnerabilities and operational security risks (scans, pentests, security risk analyses); propose, implement and monitor security responses (solutions, procedures, services),
- Manage security incidents,
- Ensure the continuity of security in contingency situations,
- Monitor compliance to ESSP security policies and external security requirements (legal, regulatory, contracts),
- Participate in the governance of contracts’ execution in her/his areas of responsibility, representing ESSP in security governance bodies,
- Provide support and technical guidance to the security team and to other ESSP Teams/Units in her/his areas of responsibility: consulting, technical expertise, assessments, etc.,
- Contribute to internal and external audits in her/his areas of responsibility,
- Promote a security culture in the Company (security awareness and trainings),
- Manage the security team (team management, roadmap, budget, subcontracts, etc.),
- Establish/maintain relationships with authorities and third parties in her/his areas of responsibility,
- Contribute to the business development strategy of ESSP in her/his areas of competency,
- Ensure a technological watch and a regulatory and legal surveillance in her/his areas of competency,
- Ensure the management of security KPI and metrics

- Good knowledge of security vulnerabilities and risks management (EBIOS, ISO27005)
- Good working knowledge and experience of information processing services (ITIL, ISO20K, etc.)
- Experience in security by-design and security in frame of projects
**The knowledge or experience in one or more of the following domains is an asset**:
- Practical knowledge of ISO22301 (Business Continuity Management) is a plus
- Knowledge of critical systems « operations » and associated constraints is
