As the Lead Animation Outsourcing, your mission is to ensure the integration of external animation resources into the creative pipeline. You are responsible for maintaining high standards of animation quality while fostering strong collaborative relationships with outsourcing studios.

This position requires a clear understanding of the animation team's outsourcing requirements, including creating detailed briefs and task assignments, reviewing and providing feedback on outsourced work, and effectively managing and delivering resources to members of the internal animation team. Through structured communication, technical guidance, and creative leadership, you will empower partners to produce captivating and moving animations that align with the project's narrative vision.

**Missions**:

- ** Outsourcing Strategy & Coordination**:

- Define and communicate outsourcing needs based on project scope and internal capacity.
- Create clear and comprehensive briefs and task breakdowns for outsourcing studios.
- Coordinate schedules, deliveries, and feedback loops to ensure timely and efficient production.
- Proactively research, identify, and contact potential outsourcing vendors that align with project requirements and artistic standards.
- ** Quality Control & Feedback**:

- Review outsourced animation assets for quality, consistency, and adherence to style guides.
- Provide actionable feedback to vendors and ensure revisions are implemented effectively.
- Maintain animation benchmarks and reference materials for external teams.
- ** Asset Management**:

- Oversee the organization, tracking, and delivery of animation assets to internal team members.
- Ensure proper integration of outsourced assets into the animation pipeline.
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to manage file formats, naming conventions, and version control.
- ** Communication & Collaboration**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for external animation partners.
- Facilitate regular check-ins and reviews with vendors to monitor progress and address challenges.
- Work closely with the Animation Director and other department leads to align outsourced work with the overall creative vision

**Profile**:

- 5+ years of experience in animation production, with at least 2 years in a leadership or outsourcing role.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, character performance, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation tools (e.g., Maya, MotionBuilder, Blender).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience working with international vendors and managing cross-cultural teams.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Experience in both cinematic and gameplay animation.
- Experience with realistic and cartoon animation.
- Knowledge of production tracking tools (e.g., ShotGrid, Jira) and version control systems.
