Minimum of ten years of public relations experience in technology or related sector
- Excellent written writing skills in both French and English
- Experience working alongside marketing, social, analyst relations and other functions to deliver integrated campaigns
- Experience working in technology
- Experience leading large brand campaigns
- Previous experience working within highly matrixed, complex organizational structures
- Experience managing media relations for high-profile technology brands, and a network of media contacts
- Demonstrated success working with senior leaders in high-profile situations
- Experience in media training execs and providing them with strategic communications counsel

Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a self-motivated, high-judgement, well-connected and experienced public relations professional to lead communications in France.
This role is based in France and will require periodic travel.

Key job responsibilities
- Regularly interact with senior leadership to develop and communicate AWS’s stories and strategic messages
- Devise and deliver the PR strategy and plan for France, including communicating plans internally and securing leadership approvals
- Develop and strengthen relationships with technology, vertical, and business press and influencers
- Drive proactive technology and customer focused stories
- Write and evolve local messaging and talking points
- Write and edit press releases, blogs, pitches, and communications plans
- Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high-judgment and professionalism
- Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, and resourceful in problem-solving
- Manage a third-party agency to support PR activities
- An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously
- Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters
- A network of strong media contacts
- Passionate about excellence in writing and verbal communications in both French and English
- Ability to set strategy and execute flawlessly
- Outstanding attention to detail
