Senior Medical Writer

The primary purpose of this role is to support the medical team on the day-to-day running of the client projects. This will include writing and proof reading of medical content in the areas of Advertising and Medical communications, as well as working closely with the account, creative and digital departments which will enable us to provide you with a solid grounding in servicing our clients’ needs.

**Responsibilities**

Client Services Dedication
- Build thorough knowledge of the necessary processes for the proper execution of medical jobs according to client needs
- Begin to build understanding of client/agency relationships & service
- Learn client´s internal regulatory review processes for medical communication measures
- Build knowledge of approval processes and legal requirements
- Begin to build understanding of the clients promotional plans and various medical communication measures (e-detailings, booklets, brochures, websites, etc.)

Product/Task Leadership and Accountability
- Build a reputation for effective and reliable delivery of high-quality medical projects
- Build thorough knowledge of expectations, processes and timelines involved in effective, high-quality project execution
- Keep track of deadlines
- Start delivering consistent quality, with effective and efficient results that meet or exceed client expectations

Medical Expertise
- Demonstrate robust scientific expertise
- Exhibit analytic thinking and an independent structured approach when dealing with scientific and medical content
- Become quickly acquainted with new complex medical areas
- Begin to build understanding of stakeholders and target groups in health care communication
- Begin to build writing style and ability to adapt medical content to the communication needs of target audiences
- Build thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
- Exhibit thorough focus on quality and details

- Provide team support as required, working with a positive and “can-do” attitude
- Exhibit enthusiasm and a willingness to learn internal disciplines

**Job Requirements**
- Degree Educated
- Medical writing experience
- Strong written communication skills in English (French is a preffered)
- Proficient skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- A good understanding of processes and timelines
- Strong time management skills
- Attention to detail and good proofreading skills
- Proactivity - the ability to anticipate client requirements
- Solution focused - suggestion of ideas and recommendations where appropriate
- Strong team player
