**The role which you will play
Our Global Data Services Engineer will contribute to our major data governance and data services activities and accelerate our digitalization activities by ensuring the quality of data services as delivered to business. Whatever the data service (a standard one like BI reporting, or a bespoke one like some containerized machine learning services), we strive to fulfill business expectations, SLAs, manage service portfolio and evolutions over time, and align with Data Governance.

Our Global Services Engineer will be responsible to coordinate the activities of several projects and use cases related to data services, to develop a single global approach in terms of data services security and policies. He will also participate actively to the design authority and the architecture of the various data technical assets related to services (such as integration platform, monitoring of services).

You will also be responsible for helping the implementation of POC (Proof of Concepts) and prototypes, or defining the target services for various use cases, on top of our various technical assets, and to define standard or best practices to increase industrialization and reusability.

**The people you will work with
You will support our data delivery teams, to bring consistency of our data services portfolio, and associated lifecycle. You will work in collaboration with the Data Governance lead, the Data Office, the data domain owners, the data managers, data delivery teams, cloud transformation teams, and business stakeholders.

The Global Data Services Engineer will be part of global IDS (Information and Digital Services) Organization. You will report directly to the Data Services Manager.

**The position is in Paris Area, France.
**Responsibilities
**Global Data Services portfolio**
- Define a template for data services, clarifying RACI, SLA, functional scope, prerequisites etc.
- Based on existing and future services, articulate, and organize a consistent services portfolio.
- Prepare communication and reporting on services offer.
- Define backlog of activities, including next year’s delivery, and make sure that service documentation is up to date.
- Make sure that new data services / updates are correctly reflected in the data catalog.
- Make sure that new data services / updates are correctly reflected in the data catalog.
- Organize functional support on data services.
- Supervise consistence of data services with MDM.

**New services / products delivery**
- Detail required services / user stories / timeline with product owner. Use of Azure Devops is a must.
- Propose design based on our technical assets services.
- Liaise and collaborate with some Azure resources helping on each initiative.
- Propose target service architecture, aligned with the data architecture principles, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Get validation from T.EN data factory design authority.
- Organize discussions with Cybersecurity teams.
- Coordinate with various data services roles (data engagement, service engineer, data governance), data delivery teams and cloud transformation teams.
- In some case take the lead on engineering the service in our environments.
- Detail planning, and necessary resources.
- Manage (from a functional perspective) external resources on-boarded on new data services and projects.

**Main Skills**
- Significant experience on architecture cloud environment (Azure), especially on data services (incl. ADLS Gen 2, Synapse, Serverless, Spark, Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Azure API gateway).
- Significant experience in access management / RBAC / ACL / data services security.
- Experience in designing data services architecture, within agile methodology (preferred solution is Azure Devops).
- Experience in AI is a plus.
