Crop Modelist

**Job description**:

- Develop and refine crop models to predict plant growth, yield, and response to environmental factors.
- Collaborate with biostatisticians to design and analyze field trials data.
- Integrate genetic, phenotypic, and environmental data into crop models.
- Conduct simulations to evaluate the impact of different breeding strategies and agricultural practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support breeding decisions and resource management.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in crop modeling and related fields.

Contract type: 18-months fixed-term contract.

**Main Goal**:
**What we expect of you**:

- Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, applied mathematics or a related field.
- Strong background in crop modeling and simulation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python.
- Familiarity with handling large-scale data and developing biostatistical tools.
- Good Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Rigorous and detail-oriented with excellent numerical skills.Your organizational skills allow you to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously and be responsive to requests while ensuring rigorous follow-up of your action plan.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong communication skills in English. French is an advantage.
