**Job Description**:
MANGOPAY continues to grow at an incredible pace. The Data Team needs a Data Steward to help us deploy our data strategy and bring data to the next level.

They will be part of the data governance initiative, already started by the team and the current Data Steward. The Data Steward will report to the Lead Data Engineering & Governance.

The Data Engineering & Governance team is a team who develops and maintains all MANGOPAY Data infrastructure services and ensures data governance throughout the organization. This includes overseeing data quality and reliability for the Data team and to standardize & homogenize the data across MangoPay. The team also ensures that the Data Scientists and Analysts have the necessary resources to complete their tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the Data Governance projects (Business glossary, GDPR workshops).
- Settle the new Data Catalog (cloud based) and train stakeholders on the tool.
- Provide an overview of Data Quality issues in the database in order to trigger actionable data policies.
- Create dashboards for different stakeholders to monitor data quality on several KPI’s.
- Improve the data policy and communicate about it.
- Identify and create a synergy between the different departments.
- Assure security and quality of the data.
- Being able to translate business pain points into a data action plan.

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:

- At least one successful experience on Data Governance initiatives and/or significant experience as Data Steward / Data Analyst / BI Analyst.
- Experience with implementation of a Data Catalog.
- Knowledge in Relational Database.
- Experience with BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker ).

Required skills:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical skills to identify risks & opportunities related to the Data Governance process.
- Have a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, hands-on mentality, team-oriented and results-driven.
- Interest in digital companies, FinTechs, marketplaces and/or platform business models.
- Hands-on experience on Data Project.

Nice to have:

- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP), AWS preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge on GDPR requirements.

- Proactive spirit who is not afraid to take charge of new business opportunities regarding Data Governance.
- Ability to work individually and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
