**Role**

As Head of Tenders, you’ll play a pivotal role in steering Fastned’s success in an increasingly competitive tender landscape across Europe. Acting as the strategic bridge between the country based expansion teams and the central business functions, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the tendering process across all countries while ensuring quality, compliance, competitiveness, and alignment with our Fastned objectives.

You’ll set up and lead a team of tender specialists, empowering them to develop global standards, build knowledge libraries, provide tools and guidance for country teams and support complex or strategic bids. You’ll also play a key role in cross-functional governance and tender performance visibility to senior leadership.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of Fastned’s mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. Tenders are at the core of Fastned’s location strategy: they create access to our most valuable sites, they are detrimental for new market entries and they give us an opportunity to stand out from our competitors.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead our Tender practice: embed and improve our tendering framework and roll out across the company
- Develop standardised tools and templates, as well as a central knowledge database, to build a strong foundation for knowledge management
- Ensure all country teams follow consistent quality standards, review protocols, and compliance guidelines
- Cross-functional coordination: Serve as a connector between Network Development and the wider organisation, and implement cross-functional governance and decision making
- Represent the business: Act as the voice of central teams in local discussions, ensuring local needs are met while aligning with global Fastned priorities
- Drive quality and excellence: conduct reviews of strategic tenders and capture lessons learned to continuously improve our bid strategies
- Drive performance: track and report on tender performance
- Manage & develop team: Build a team of high-performance experts and coach them in their personal growth.

**Who are we looking for?**

We’re looking for a Head of Tenders who’s ready to grow and make an impact. If you have a passion for creating new strategies, driving performance, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in tenders or proposal management, ideally in a regulated or project-based industry (e.g., construction, infrastructure, IT, energy)
- Proven track record of managing complex, high-value projects
- A sharp analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage and synthesise complex information from diverse sources and integrate it into a coherent, compelling narrative
- Great at bringing stakeholders along on the journey - exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Experience in building a new team and motivating people to give their best
- Growth mindset - a strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to get creative and think outside the box.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and willingness to dive into both strategy and execution.
- Comfortable using industry-specific software and tools.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Open for regular travel within Europe
- English is a must, and any additional European languages (German, French, Dutch) are a bonus
