**Contexte et atouts du poste**:
The main goal of the European Sum project (Seamless Shared Urban Mobility) is to promote the shift from private vehicles to Public Transport (PT) and New and Shared Modes (NSM) in order to reduce per capita emissions and mitigate the negative effects of urbanization, such a systemic shift is not easy in practice.

The Sum project involves 30 participants involving universities, research centers, public transport operators and companies.

**Mission confiée**:
The aim will be to propose and solve optimization problems involving different types of decision variables. More specifically, the aim will be to define an integrated pricing incentive for the use of NSM compared with individual transport. More specifically, the aim is to take into account passengers' utility-maximizing behavior in the fare-setting process. Moreover, this pricing will be integrated in the sense that the road user will pay only once for his journey, even if he uses several modes. Two-level programming models will be proposed, studied and solved to represent this hierarchical decision-making process between NSM managers and passengers. As these optimization problems are difficult to solve because they are non-convex and non-differentiable, structure-based solution methods such as matheuristics will be developed.
Tests will be carried out on real instances from the living labs involved in the European project.

The following aspects will be taken into account: (i) the strategic behavior of passengers when choosing their mode of transport or route; (ii) the integrated timetables given exogenously by the NSM; (iii) the different stakeholders involved in the NSM; (iv) the equity of revenue distribution between the stakeholders.
