Moody’s Analytics R&D department in Grenoble is seeking a Manager - Associate Director Software Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of insurance regulatory product.

**Role/responsibilities**:
You will integrate an Agile team (6-10 people) located in Grenoble and participate to the development of new regulatory risk solutions for insurers.
- Software developer lead in an Agile scrum team:

- Participate to high level design with business analysts
- Lead feature breakdown to split into small independent piece of work (user stories)
- Propose implementation options, and help arbitration between several options
- Take into account short-term mid-term long-term for implementation guidance
- Self-training on new technologies or new design pattern to propose up-to-date implementation solutions
- Sustain architecture discussions with platform architects, to provide some guidance from the feature perspective
- Management responsibilities:

- Maintain regular contact with managed people
- Listen to their personal expectations, career expectations, training expectations, current mood, and summarize to upper level managers, rise alert if needed
- Provide objectives to managed people, in coordination with upper level management
- gather information about managed people production, to buildup a vision of their performance, their integration in the different teams, the quality of their work, so as to evaluate their overall efficiency, and provide improvement areas.

**Qualifications**:

- Master degree in Software Engineering, 8 years of experience.
- Management experience of a development team in France
- Software language usage in an optimized way(understand and use the native qualities of a used language)
- Database requesting (understand the database usage optimization challenge)
- Backend and data processing (understand the backend and performance in data processing challenge)
