**Mission**:
The Controllership organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team as Country Controller for France. This role will play a critical part in supervising and ensuring compliance in the areas of accounting and reporting, providing support to the business and collaborating with the board and the works' council.

**Responsibilities**:
**Compliance and governance**:

- Ensure French GAAP accounting standards and regulations are appropriately actioned and reflected in our processes and reporting;
- Prepare/review all reporting obligations (BDSE, documents prévisionnels);
- Support audits and tax queries;
- Monitor and support external quotations or ratings;
- Support local risk assessment.

**External reporting**:

- Ensure accurate financial statements are prepared, approved and filed;
- Prepare/review technical accounting memos;
- Prepare and present relevant financial data to business, board and works council;
- Prepare FAQ’s with public relations team in the release of financial documents.

**Supporting the business**:

- Support the directors' fulfillment of their duties;
- Support the country leader in providing financial data insight;
- Propose performance indicators and identify operational improvements.

Beyond those responsibilities, we are expecting leadership to represent controllership in the various company projects and development

**Qualifications**:

- Confirmed financial and accounting experience;
- Fully proficient in French and English;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal;
- Capability to build interpersonal relationships and networks;
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast paced environment;
- Ability to balance multiple requirements and initiatives;
- Critical thinking, ability to understand the big picture;
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the strengths for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
