**Location**

To run sites on behalf of Arena, taking responsibility for coordinating day-to-day site activities erecting and dismantling temporary and permanent structures in accordance with project specific plans and appropriate safety regulations.

Ensuring the welfare and safety of their crew, and any third-party contractors as well as the smooth operation of the site.

Working with the operations and projects team to deliver projects in line with planning schedules and in line with budget expectations.

**Reporting To**
- Run and manage jobs as directed by the Site Operation Planning Manager and Project Manager.
- Co-ordinate the efforts of their team, ensure the welfare and safety of their crew and any third-party contractors as well as the smooth operation of the site.
- Read and comprehend all site construction plans, from these plans independently build the required structures and components whilst instructing crews on front line configuration.
- Complete tasks set by line manager in a safe and efficient manager, following the procedures, method statements and safe systems of work. Including but not limited to RAMS, project covers, inductions, H&S checklists, drawings and toolbox talks.
- Ensure accurate timesheets are completed for crew and agencies under the site managers remit in a timely manner and in adherence to timekeeping policies.
- Support and provide on the job training to site crews up to Junior Site Managers.
- Ensure jobs remain on schedule and factor in potential issues such as shortages, weather conditions and site restrictions.
- Be a brand ambassador for Arena, behaving in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
- Collorabate with the Clients, Projects and Operations team at planning and delivery stage to support delivery of the project.
- Conduct pre/post site meetings
- Instruct labour to follow Arena safe systems of work, and H&S practices.
- Complete any paperwork associated with running the site efficiently, accurately and in a consistent manner. Including accident reporting, taking lead on daily/pre-use inspection and the completion of sign off sheets.
- Support the Site Operations team with absence management of site crews, reporting absences in a timely manner, supporting with return-to-work interviews under the direction of the Site Operations Planning team.
- Support the Site Operations team with performance management of allocated site crews, monitoring probationary periods, reporting to site operations planning team any performance concerns, and supporting with annual appraisals of site crew under the direction of the Site Operations Planning team.
- As required by their Site Operations Planning Manager to carry out any other reasonable duties, and such should be familiar with the operation of the whole site and environment.
- Carry out from time to time as directed any other reasonable duties as required in addition to the above that are both reasonable and within your capabilities.

Safety Responsibilities
- Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others.
- Cooperate with Arena Group and follow instructions, policies and procedures as detailed.
- Not engage in any improper conduct that could endanger themselves or anyone else.
- Participate in safety and health training offered by Arena.
- Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required for their job tasks.
- Serve as a good role model to co-workers, contractors, visitors and clients for safe work practices and behaviour at all work locations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.

Address any safety concerns quickly and report concerns.

**People Responsibility**
- People Management experience
- 5 years Site Management experience or equivalent which includes:

- Read & understand drawings for structures and Independently marking them out
- Component identification systems
- Erecting structure frames
- Erecting Square ring beam and laying flooring using dumpy level
- Lifting structures into position using correct lifting equipment.
- Secure all bracing in the correct positions to straighten the structures as per drawings.
- Fit roof sheets and gable PVC and tension correctly
- Install/Build: doors, windows, panels, glass handrails external staircase cantilever balconies verandas
- Knowledge of Horizon components and their fitting
- Dismantle structures safely & correctly.
- Build structures on scaffold grid.

Lead teams in build or dismantle of a basic structure.
