Algenscribe is a young start up developing a Gene Editing platform to improve human health. Algenscribe is developing new patented Gene Editing tools for Gene Replacement to reach the full potential of genome editing.

1°) Research & Development
The senior researcher will be responsible for the design and optimization of gene editing vectors and their delivery to target specific loci in the human genome in collaboration with different world-renowned research laboratories specialized in rare diseases and oncology.
The senior researcher also tests different strategies (synergistic combination of tools) and new molecular biology tools.

She, He works in collaboration with different research laboratories and in the context of industrial collaborations but also on internal programs.

The senior researcher participates in the implementation of new collaborations, particularly in the definition of the research program.
She/he will participate in the promotion of scientific results in France and aboard (scientific publication, poster, scientific convention ).
She/He performs scientific watch.

2°) Setting up a new laboratory
The senior researcher is responsible for the operation of the laboratory (Quality Control, security, data collection via electronic laboratory book software, etc.) and the supervision of Cifre or trainees.
You will propose the most suitable organization for the new laboratory (2026) and will participate in its implementation in France.

3°) Administrative tasks
Around 10% to 15% of time will be devoted to administrative work: R&D Budget follow up, R&D reports, order of material and reagents, administrative follow up of Grants and Tax Credit linked to R&D.

**Profil**:
Algenscribe is seeking a senior post-doctoral researcher or an engineer with a Ph.D. with experience in Gene Editing of mammalian cells. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have at least 1 to 2 years’ experience in gene editing, the preparation of vectors and routine molecular biology techniques, as well as transfection (electroporation and lipofection) of mammalian cells.
An experience in a company is welcome.
Personal qualities: sense of priorities and organization, autonomy, team spirit, fairness and responsiveness. Ability to work in coordination with third parties academic and industrial laboratories.
English is the main language spoken with partners.
In 2025, the researcher will be working at laboratories located at Biolabs Paris Saclay in Orsay Campus. Afterwards, the company will rent its own laboratories in France.
