Apprentice in Bioinformatics / Apprenti(e) en Bioinformatique (H/F)

General Summary:

- In collaboration with MS team and bioinformatic team you will collect data generated from Mass Spectrometer specific to PTMs projects to generate an internal database. A user interface will be created to access and visualize the data present in the database. Public datasets for protein structures (for e.g. PDB or alpha fold predicted structure) will have to be integrated into this database if necessary.

Missions and responsibilities:

- Collect, understand and create robust data structure.
- Collaborate with MS team to understand and define user needs.
- Generate a database that can be easily maintained in the future (Database such SQL can be used, however, to be defined at start of the project)
- Develop an user interface (for e.g. RShiny) to access the data
- Integrate public datasets into the database
- Create impactful and easy to understand visualization
- Train the users to navigate through the interface and create a work instruction

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Programming skills in R and experience with the RShiny interface development package
- Knowledge in database management system such SQL
- Experience with Git code versioning tool
- Experience working in an agile way
- Knowledge of omics data is a plus
- English and French languages

Experience and education:

- Master/ingenior student with a background in bioinformatics, computer science or equivalent
