Job Title: Web Content Specialist
Location: Offsite

Type: Contract
Compensation: $34.50/HR
Contractor Work Model: Remote

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Web Content Management**:

- Perform updates and edits to websites using a content management system (CMS) and basic HTML.
- Ensure web content aligns with style guides, accessibility (508 compliance), and SEO best practices.
- Tag content with appropriate metadata to improve searchability.
- Collaborate with business owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.

**Content Editing & Compliance**:

- Manage and execute content changes in line with legal, branding, and editorial guidelines.
- Prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines with consistent communication and follow-through.
- Draft and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) for content management processes.
- Use analytics and SEO insights to optimize content structure, navigation, and user experience.

**Testing & Quality Assurance**:

- Assist in testing new designs, pages, and digital features.
- Conduct unit and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Document findings and ensure proper resolution of issues before deployment.
- Ensure editorial consistency, clarity, grammar, and style across all content.
- Generate and analyze reports on recipient behavior and engagement.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Writing, or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in web content editing or content management.
- Experience working with CMS platforms and editing web pages using HTML.

**Skills**:

- Strong proofreading and web content editing skills.
- Working knowledge of web usability, SEO, and 508 accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with CMS tools (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, SharePoint, Joomla, TeamSite).
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign).
- HTML and CSS editing capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
