**The Position**

The Medical Advisor is an experienced Medical Affairs professional and is the primary medical contact at the country level for the medical affairs organization at Organon. He/she supports the country's strategic medical planning and provides medical support to company objectives. He/she manages the scientific and strategic interactions externally as well as internally with cross-functional teams within the respective therapeutic areas, driving scientific initiatives and supporting the field force.

**Responsibilities**
- Is recognized internally and externally as the privileged contact for the medical affairs organization with a focus on Belux and initial cross-functional strategic support for France.
- Sets short and long-term medical affairs strategy in alignment with Organon’s organizational goals.
- Develop country Medical Affairs plans for the assigned therapeutic area (neurology) in alignment with the global medical affairs plans and translate medical strategies into research, data analysis, scientific communication, educational, and other tactics and solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance access in the country.
- Builds trust with the external scientific community via peer-to-peer scientific exchange of information with Scientific Leaders, research and educational collaborations, interactions with scientific societies and health organizations, publications, etc.
- Can integrate scientific knowledge with actionable insights to inform Organon strategies.
- Is informed about recent developments within the therapeutic area and can provide medical and scientific advice that can inform internal Organon strategies.
- Represents Organon at scientific meetings and congresses of relevance and in alignment with the strategic needs and has a privileged network with scientific leaders.
- Liaises with appropriate cross-functional stakeholders to understand marketplace dynamics and implications for Organon's scientific and medical strategy and field needs.
- Provides medical and scientific advice to business units, Market Access functions, and others as required, including input into Health Economics.
- Provides therapeutic/functional training to assigned teams and affiliate functions.
- May be included in overseeing inspections and answering inquiries by health authorities and ethical committees in conjunction with Regulatory and PV.
- Acts with ethics and integrity; provide non-promotional, balanced, reliable, and scientific information.

- Able to identify data gaps that could be transformed into clinical evidence.
- Must possess a good understanding of the relevant therapeutic areas and ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the biopharmaceutical industry and its customers to ensure compliance with all external and internal guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- English and French language (oral and written)

**Required Education, Experience, and Skills**
- Medical degree, PhD in health sciences, Pharm D or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development.

**Preferred **Experience and Skills**
- Experience in one of the following fields: Women’s Health, Fertility, Contraception, Maternal Health or related.
- Strong understanding of the compliance environment in which Medical Affairs functions.
- Business acumen, ethics, and credible reputation with the external scientific community.
- Ability to simplify and convey complex concepts and strategies, orally and in writing, and conduct/facilitate meetings with strong presentation skills.
