At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. We focus our efforts in designing an innovative, safe, silent, clean and affordable aircraft that will be able to blend into existing infrastructures and regulations to ease its deployment and maximise social acceptance.

**Your role**:
You will be part of the Software & Electronic Team, you will contribute to exciting projects aimed at optimising the management of software interfaces on our embedded systems and developing low-level software functionalities.

**Your main contributions will be**:
Developing a software interface management tool:

- Structuring interactions between different software modules
- Using databases to manage and organise interface data
- Integrating the tool into existing development processes

Implementing low-level software functions:

- Developing drivers for specific electronic components
- Optimising software performance in real time
- Participating in the testing and validation of functionalities

Participating in continuous improvement:

- Contributing to technical documentation
- Analysing end-user requirements to adapt the tools developed.

Founded on Ascendance’s strong values, the whole team is involved in creating both innovative products to decarbonize aviation and an accurate company structure to support its fast development.

Full scale testbenches are ongoing while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed.

**Profil recherché**:
**The job has been made for you if you have**:

- You are a software engineering student
- Proficiency in the C programming language
- Notions/expérience en matlab/simulink
- Knowledge of database management and manipulation tools (SQL, SQLite, Cloud-based or others)
- Understanding of embedded systems and real-time constraints
- Notions of versioning with tools such as Git
- You are a team player and a proactive person
- You are curious, enthusiastic and self driven.
