**Job Description**:
**As the Lead Systems Architect**, you will spearhead the design of a variety of projects in the “Technology & Operations France” team, part of the “Risk and Identity Solution” group in the “Value Added Service (VAS) Product Development” Technology division. You will be a collaborator who will be depended on by delivery and execution teams to offer technical guidance and architecture designs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to introduce new services that enhance existing products or enable new products, recommend and evangelize new technologies that will improve the status quo, offer technical solutions to Visa infrastructure that drives innovation when delivered and perform at a high availability level.

**_ You will_** interact with organizational stake holders such as senior executives, senior product managers, and external partners like processors, wallet providers, and banks. You will have the opportunity to build technical solutions and influence release roadmaps.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Identify appropriate technical solutions and/or products and designs that will best prepare the company to meet present and future business objectives in the areas of digital payments.
- Design the most appropriate solution with well understood tradeoffs that meets the business requirements.
- Propose new and innovative solutions to meet the fast-changing payments industry landscape.
- Document the solution designs clearly and with enough details so delivery and execution teams can size the effort. You will be responsible for the definition and the breakdown of the System Components, Interfaces, 3rd Party Integrations, and the overall design of the system. Your solution will be secured, Active Active ready, and meet our high availability and resiliency requirements.
- Perform proof of concept to evaluate new and emerging technologies, design patterns, and proposed solutions.
- Work with engineering professionals, fellow software architects, and others within Visa to ensure that proposed solutions will scale appropriately, and that the implementation will be a cost-effective solution.
- Manage the creation of several artifacts relating to the detail design and use cases that are solved for.
- Collaborate with software engineers and provide technical guidance during the construction phase of a project, occasionally contributing to development activities if required.
- Continue to learn about the payments industry and the factors impacting the payments industry.
- On occasions, oversee code development activities such as code reviews or coding guidance to developers’ teams.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
