**Job Description Summary**: The GE Vernova Environmental & Properties Risk team in the GE Vernova Supply Chain Development organization provides strategic and technical support to manage environmental risk across the GE Vernova global footprint. As a member of this team, the Environmental Project Manager will serve a key support role for the assessment and mitigation of environmental risk in transactions, strategic initiatives and remedial projects. This project manager will work closely with team members from Environmental & Properties Risk, business development, real estate, sourcing, finance, legal, EHS, governmental affairs, communications, business unit operations, and facilities to provide environmental insight and considerations into real property and business transactions and key initiatives and projects to ensure appropriate environmental risk review. In addition, this role will be responsible for supporting aspects of the EPR remedial projects portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to help define GE Vernova’s global approach to proactively managing environmental risk.

In addition, this role will be responsible for supporting aspects of the EPR remedial projects portfolio. **What you’ll do**

In serving as project manager for the evaluation of environmental risk for GE Vernova’s strategic initiatives, the Environmental Project Manager will identify, evaluate, assess, and communicate complex issues of environmental risk and trade-offs to a wide range of internal stakeholders. This role will provide transactional environmental risk support for:

- Business Development (_e.g._, environmental due diligence and risk evaluations for acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture opportunities, etc.);
- real estate transactions (purchases, sales, leases);
- business restructurings (plant closures, integrations, operational relocations);
- new projects and initiatives; and

Other key responsibilities include:

- Establishing and maintaining communication rhythms with key internal stakeholders including representatives from the Environmental & Properties Risk team, business development, real estate, legal, sourcing, and finance.
- Support development of standard operating best practices, guidance and/or processes to ensure consistent and appropriate environmental risk review.
- Serve as expert resource by staying up to date with environmental due diligence issues, approaches and standards.

In addition, this role will be responsible for providing technical support to the GE Vernova portfolio of remedial projects through various support functions including but not limited to communications with third party environmental consultants and coordination with key internal stakeholders including finance, sourcing, EHS, legal, business leadership, communications and governmental affairs. The size and scope of this limited portfolio to be determined based on the project needs as identified by the GE Vernova Environmental & Property Risk team.

It is possible that these responsibilities may be rebalanced with other similar responsibilities depending on the demands and capacity within the Environmental & Properties Risk Team.

**Qualifications**

**General Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College in environmental science, geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, or equivalent discipline.
- Significant experience in applied project management in environmental, remediation and/or EHS within a company, regulatory agency and/or consulting firm.
- Demonstrated experience in providing environmental real estate and/or M&A transactional support including:

- Expert familiarity of ASTM standard and process for assessing risk via Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments;
- Demonstrated experience preparing/using of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to assess risks;
- Experience coordinating environmental due diligence efforts for larg
