- Description**Lazard Investment Banking Intern (Central Eastern Europe Team)**
**Background**:
LAZARD CEE Team is located in Paris, as part of LAZARD FRERES Financial Advisory, it specializes in mandates in Central and Eastern Europe, CIS, Greece and Turkey. The Team focuses on cross-product (Merger & Acquisitions, Debt Advisory and Restructuring) and cross-sector (TMT, Retail, Healthcare, Transportation, Energy, etc.) engagements.
**Job**d**escription**:
The CEE Team benefits from a recognized track-record of M&A deals across the whole CEE, CIS, Turkey and Greece geographies, while being based in Paris. **In 2024, it has received the prestigious Euromoney Award for CEE’s Best Bank for Advisory.**
You will join an international core team of 6 bankers having worked on more than 40 transactions over the last 6 years, such as for example acquisition of United Group’s towers by Tawal (2023, Balkans), equity restructuring of Fortenova underwritten by Open Pass (2023, Croatia), sale of 50% stake of FiberForce by Illiad/Play (2022, Poland), IPO of Allegro (2020, Poland), aborted acquisition of Condor by LOT / PGL (2020, Poland) or sale of Vivacom to United Group (2019, Bulgaria). The CEE team works alongside Lazard’s Sovereign Advisory team and individual sector teams on a case by case basis.
As part of the team, you will be actively involved in:
- Preparation of presentation materials in relation to M&A, ECM, DCM, and sovereign advisory for clients in all major industries
- Performance of company valuations using techniques such as discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, comparable listed companies, or transactions
- Ongoing transactions execution
- Interaction with Lazard bankers’ network worldwide to support our clients.
**The internship position is available for 6 months from J**uly** 2025 and is based in Paris.**
**Profile**:
- Strong previous experience in Finance or Consulting (internships)
- Excellent academic credentials
Non-EU students are expected to manage independently all related administrative and work-permit topics.
