Full-time English Teacher

Our private alternative College and High School " La Jonchère" offers classes from 6ème to Terminale, in La Celle-Saint-Cloud (78). Founded on the principle of non-violent communication, La Jonchère aims to offer its students the best conditions for learning and living happily. The project is inspired by Montessori, Gordon, Freinet reflections and new approaches to personal development. Our program, which promotes both the development of academic skills and human skills, prepares young people to integrate higher education and the professional world with serenity and self-confidence. In our pedagogy, teachers are on an equal footing with students: no power struggles, no authority, but a relationship of trust and assertiveness. **We aim to welcome 55 students in September 2025.** In order to support our growth and complete our language team, **we are looking for a full-time English teacher to start in september 2025. Main responsibilities include**: - Teaching students aged 11 to 16 years old in mixed-level classes -(including courses for students preparing " brevet des collèges" and baccalaureat - LLCER specialty) - Prepare weekly courses to form a curriculum that includes teaching speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing in a playful and kind environment, - Adjust curriculum as necessary to meet student abilities (differentiated pedagogy, flexible class) - Use teaching methods and materials recommended by the team and/or any methods in line with the school approach and philosophy, - Monitor and correct students’ exercises based on classwork, - Take part in the school events and educational programs. - Lead "fun" workshops in English on the theme of your choice : Sciences, Music, Art, IT & Coding, Theater... You will work closely with our English and spanish teachers team. Flexible schedule, trainings. The school is open Mo, Tu, Th, Fr from 9 am to 5:30 pm and Wed. 9h-12h **Required Skills**: - **Teaching degree (equivalent bac +3 in France)**: - **Previous experience using positive teaching approaches and/or interest in all forms of alternative education.**: - **Bilingual English speaker**: - **French language : A2 level**: - **Able to prepare courses independently for each level**; knowledge of IGCSE program is a plus, - Previous experience with differentiated pedagogy is a real plus. - **Able to track the progress and difficulties of each student and adjust your teaching style.**: - **You share the vision of our project and are convinced of the benefits of providing each student a caring environment in which they feel supported and self-confident.** We offer you the chance to join a dynamic and passionate team, a flexible organisation, where you will have pedagogical freedom without pressure and the opportunity to develop projects, if you wish. **Want to be part of a united and happy team?
