- Methodology - Moody’s ESG Solutions (MESG)

Role/Responsibilities- ** Responsibilities**:

- Spearhead innovation or enhancement projects associated to ESG models & methodologies to address market gaps: design, calibration plan, testing, fine tuning.
- Develop and deliver the roadmap associated to the ESG models developments and updates
- Design and deliver new models supportive to methodologies and products associated to ESG and sustainability measures: development of scales, data aggregation in scores, backtesting, volatily analyses, leveraging knowledge from market use cases of ESG related data and models.
- Monitor and manage the up-to-dateness, accuracy and consistency of outputs produced by existing models
- Elaborate required analytics on developing or existing models to orientate development and inform the robustness of our methodologies
- Work closely with Moody’s quantitative teams, Business line leaders, product strategists and analytical teams to implement vision, strategic orientations and operational objectives for the development of ESG models
- Manage, motivate and develop the team to ensure a high performing and effective collective work
- Monitor and leverage emerging trends and requirements in ESG investing to develop MESG Models
- Act as thematic referent for any knowledge support requirement across Moody’s activities related to ESG models

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate / second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) required or equivalent strong academic background
- At least 10 years relevant experience managing or developing models for ESG related methodologies, conducting relevant modeling and research, calibration, either in industry or academia
- Advanced knowledge of the sustainable finance, ESG and climate sectors, relating to signals, models, scoring, data metrics
- Proficiency with scientific computing in an interpreted language for data analysis such as Python, as well as demonstrated experience in predictive modeling and analysis
- Strong quantitative skills and analytical problem solving required; ability to help resolve differing analytical viewpoints
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills including the ability to effectively communicate complex, technical issues to non-expert audiences; Writing needs to be well-structured and logical
- Strong organizational skills, with ability to adapt to a changing environment and to manage workloads, deadlines, conflicting priorities for self and others
- Ability to drive work effectively in matrix structure
- Can-do’ attitude, with pro-active problem-solving skills
- Excellent proficiency of written and spoken English, with ability to analyse, synthesize and edit
