**About the position**
Scientific Portfolio, a fintech venture from EDHEC Business School, is hiring a Data & Operations Analyst to support its equity portfolio construction platform through high-integrity financial and ESG data workflows. This is a unique opportunity to join a purpose-driven team shaping next-generation investment tools that combine rigorous financial modeling with sustainability data.

Scientific Portfolio empowers equity investors to analyze and construct transparent, data-driven portfolios through a web-based platform that blends financial and ESG criteria. We are a fast-growing, research-driven fintech backed by EDHEC’s expertise in asset management and sustainable investing.

**Your Mission**

You will play a central role in ensuring data accuracy, relevance, and integrity for our portfolio construction tools. You’ll be responsible for:

- Validating and maintaining core financial and ESG datasets used in portfolio strategies.
- Monitoring and processing live corporate actions, ensuring timely and accurate adjustments.
- Detecting and resolving data anomalies using a combination of automated checks and manual investigation.
- Cross-verifying data points (e.g., free float market caps, carbon emissions) using public sources like annual financial and sustainability reports.
- Building estimation workflows to manage missing or incomplete data.
- Collaborating with the investment and development teams to ensure data quality supports end-user experience and performance.

**Required Experience and Skills**
We're looking for someone who combines operational excellence with a passion for data integrity. You ideally have:

- 5+ years of experience in a financial data or investment operations role (buy-side or data provider)
- Familiarity with:

- Equity corporate actions (splits, dividends, delistings, etc.)
- ESG data integration and validation
- Portfolio data workflows (universe maintenance, rebalancing support)
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- A good grasp of corporate finance principles and sustainability disclosures
- Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, SQL) for process automation and data analysis
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain data decisions

**Where You Will Work**:
Scientific Portfolio has offices in:

- Nice (EDHEC campus - preferred location)
- Paris (EDHEC campus, Palais Brongniart area)

Work permit required for France. Flexible in-office presence expected depending on location.
