At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. **Your role**:
Reporting directly to the Software & Electronics Team Lead, you’ll be at the core of our avionics systems. Providing control, communication, smooth HW/SW interactions and data exchange to guarantee reliable flight operations, by respecting the functional requirements as well as aeronautics authorities constraints.
You will integrate the software/system requirements onto the proposed onboard core computers architecture.
**Your main responsibilities will be**:
- Owning the architecture of the onboard core computers and propose rationalized improvements
- Lead supplier discussions and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery of the equipment
- Coordinate with the other members of the team to accommodate the software requirements
- Supporting safety analysis related to hardware and software
- Specify and eventually design test means as well as lead the associated test campaign setup with potential external partners to comply with DO-254 standards.
- Supporting the physical integration of the calculator into the test benches up to the aircraft prototype taking into account mechanical, thermal and EMC/EMI constraints

Full scale testbenches are ongoing while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed.

**Profil recherché**:
**The job has been made for you if you**:
- Have a strong experience (10+ years) in avionics/digital systems/robotics.
- Have extensive knowledge in electronics engineering specifically applied to embedded calculators, flight computers and communication networks.
- Are used to design and develop systems under DO254/DO-160 requirements.
- Know aeronautics communication protocols (ARINC, CAN, LIN, FlexRay etc.).
- Have experience in other avionics standards : DO-178C/DO-331/DO-297/AMCs
