**Job Description**:
As **Sustainable Procurement Manager,** you will coordinate the development and implementation of the sustainability sourcing strategy and plan, while developing new initiatives to help BIC to achieve the sustainability agenda goals, as well as coordinating existing programs that have already been implemented. You will act as a Sustainable Procurement champion for internal and external stakeholders by managing responsible sourcing strategies. Interacts with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with the company’s sustainability objectives, ensuring that all stakeholders are on board with the company’s sourcing sustainability efforts. You will also support the implementation of the Responsible Sourcing Policy.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Participate in the definition of procurement sustainability efforts, identifying goals and measuring progress
- Implement new sustainability initiatives to meet goals set by the BIC sustainability agenda
- Promote material and services sourcing for all categories with sustainability in mind including latest developments in sustainability technology or practices
- Follow industry trends related to sustainability in order to identify future opportunities for growth or risk areas that may require mitigation efforts
- Interact with suppliers to ensure that they are aligned with the company’s sustainability goals
- Participate on environmental impact assessments conducted within BIC to ensure sourcing compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Co-create reports about procurement sustainability performance and sharing findings with stakeholders
- Build all official and legally requirement Sustainable Procurement reporting and communications
- Co-ordinate the suppliers Carbon reduction plans in alignment with the Group Carbon Roadmap
- Map potential vendors and suppliers that exhibit responsible practices and develop relationships together with the strategic procurement team
- Support implementation end to end supplier due-diligence processes to promote responsible sourcing practices
- Co-ordinate all internal sustainability initiatives (mainly for plastics and packaging), support performance and report on progress
- Perform all sustainable procurement activities for Packaging Development

**Qualifications**:

- BA required; other graduate degree potentially acceptable
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement with expertise in sustainable development plans
- Successful, multi-year track record in a procurement organization
- Strong negotiation skills
- Fluent in English; excellent communication skills in English - written and oral
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
