About the position

The Operations team plays a central and multidisciplinary role within CFM and emphasizes the values of integrity and excellence. We guarantee the reliability of the front-to-back chain and provide real-time support and control services that are essential to other teams. Our team is constantly looking for new ways to innovate and use technology to improve controls, reduce operational risk, and optimize the efficiency of our system.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Trading data integrity: pre-market checks (prices, news, corporate actions, etc.)
- Trading position integrity: analysis and booking of corporate actions, expirations, and assignments on futures/options, etc.
- Daily monitoring of the tradable securities universe (liquidity, market capitalization, CDS, etc.),
- Monitoring of real-time production alerts
- Support for Risk, Compliance, and Reporting teams: production of reports and other information for investors, regulators, and internal teams (Management, Board, etc.),
- Proactive collaboration with IT teams with a view to constantly improving processes and tools,
- Collaboration with Prime brokers for continuous service improvement and risk management.

Participate in team projects:

- Automate the verification of stock eligibility criteria before they are integrated into strategies, using VBA/Python.
- Perform analyses on existing positions, including automation, data processing, and the creation of visuals.
- Participate in the production of monthly KPIs covering Middle Office activity and contribute to its automation.
- SKILLS
For this position, the intern must:

- Have initial experience (internship, gap year) in market finance (Bachelor's degree + 4-5 years of higher education)
- Have an appetite for automation, data analysis and presentation, problem investigation, and continuous process improvement.
- Be proficient in Python and/or Excel (VBA)
- Be comfortable in both French and English
- We are looking for motivated, curious, rigorous individuals with a strong team spirit.

- Good knowledge of Bloomberg, SQL, and Tableau

Internship duration: 6 months
Start date: October
