Legal Affairs - COURBEVOIE(PLD)-COUPOLE(FRA) - France - The mission of the Exploration & Production (E&P) branch is to discover and develop oil and gas fields in order to meet growing energy demand. - Within this branch, we are also developing activities based on the preservation and restoration of ecosystems that act as carbon sinks, i.e. capable of absorbing atmospheric carbon, and on carbon capture, storage and utilization (CCUS). We also finance, develop and manage carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emission reduction projects (Nature Based Solutions - NBS). - In this context, we are looking for a compliance lawyer (permanent contract). - The Compliance Program is part of the evolution and reinforcement of the Company's Integrity policy and the respect of conventions, laws and regulations, on a worldwide basis. - Within the Compliance team, the position holder will be responsible for the deployment, promotion and management of topics related to the Company's compliance and topics concerning areas under sanctions, including: - Steering and promoting the Compliance program to all operational and functional entities of the "E&P" and "GRP" (Gas Reneweables and Power) branches, by ensuring a watch on the various laws and regulations. - The development of the governance model according to the needs of the Company and the best practices identified on the market. - Dissemination of the various guidelines, procedures and recommendations issued within the framework of the Program. - Assisting any entity with any request relating to the required local systems and procedures (including inventory, definition of possible actions, then monitoring their implementation), including due diligence tasks. - In coordination with the Ethics, Legal and Internal Control structures, analysis and assessment of non-compliance risks with recommendations for corrective action at the level of the branches and/or the Company. - Follow-up of reported incidents. - Managing the work and services of external legal advisors, particularly for areas under sanctions. - Developing the legal and regulatory skills required within the Company. - Active participation in the work of professional organizations. - Graduated in law, you have at least 10 to 15 years of experience, ideally acquired in international & industrial companies or in law firms. - Knowledge and practice in business law and compliance - Fluent in English **Offer ID** - 58024BR **Metier** - Specialized Practice Area **Region, department, area** - 92 - Hauts-de-Seine **Employment type** - Regular position **Experience level required** - Minimum 10 years, Minimum 15 years **Branch** - Exploration and Production
