**Foundational Model for Time Series Forecasting**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As pioneers in scientific and quantitative trading, we explore ever-growing datasets, to underpin our trading decisions. The Data Insights team, which comprises of X Data Scientists, works closely with the research team to carry out predictive and statistical analyses on extensive datasets.

Foundation models for time series data are similar to other forms of generative AI models that are trained on large-scale time series data sets and can output either deterministic or probabilistic forecasts. Foundation models have been built specifically for time series forecasts. The goal of this internship is to benchmark and fine tune some those models against well known time series models and tree models.

**SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**
- You have a master’s degree in an applied quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Computational Science, Quantitative Finance).
- You are proficient in Python
- You have an experience in Time Series manipulation
- An experience in AWS is a plus
- You are fluent in written and spoken in English
- You are able to think out-of-the-box, rigorous and have good communication skills
- You have the legal right to perform a 6-month internship in France (e.g. EU nationality, student visa, etc.)
